I entered the "Life in Red" National Photography Competition for Kids in the Rising Photographers section for ages 12 to 14. I submitted my portrait from the Day of the Dead celebration in the Mission District of San Francisco: a woman in red with a painted calavera face, a crown of roses, and a red fan. It was one of the three winners in my age group, and I received the Dream Snapper award.
